Will The Tablet Computer Replace The Laptop?
Ever since the phenomenal success of Apple's tablet computer, the iPad, speculation has run rampant: will the tablet replace the laptop and desktop computers? With the appearance of the iPad 2, along with Samsung's Galaxy Tab, Blackberry Playbook and HP TouchPad, business professionals and students are voting with their purchases. Seemingly in droves, these groups are embracing their tablets while abandoning their former love, the laptop.
Why would that be? The advantage of a tablet computer over a laptop is size and weight. Tablets are large enough for the user to actually see what is happening on the screen while light enough to carry around easily. Desktops have been gathering dust for a few years now aside from gamers who need tremendous amounts of power for graphics or for those many who now substitute their computer for a television, downloading media and watching television and movies on a large-screen desktop.
Smartphones are the logical competition for tablet computers. Why are smartphones not filling the gap? Smartphones are proliferating like locusts in summer, but smartphone screens are too small for many applications, despite the recent hype urging users to watch movies on their phones. Right. Maybe catching a flick on the subway will work for you if you have good eyesight and a steady hand, but it's hardly an ideal way to fully enjoy a film. A tablet now, that's a different story and a much better movie experience.
The great things about tablet computers are the terrific apps, numbering in the hundreds of thousand, shared with smartphone users, whether Apple, Android or OS. Many, if not most, of these apps are free or nearly so. Think about it. You can digitally transcribe lectures or notes from meetings or classrooms with Speaknotes. Create spreadsheets with Numbers. Construct polished presentations with Keynote. Really, whatever you want to do in business or in your studies--there's an app for that. Tablet computer technology remains in its infancy. iPad 2 and its cohorts are only second-generation, after all. Nevertheless, recently, Nielsen Company released figures showing the tablets are already making great inroads. The study shows that 35% of desktop and tablet owners now report using the desktop less often or not at all, while 32% of laptop and tablet owners say they use the laptop less or not at all. That's tremendous market penetration for such a new technology, demonstrating the ubiquitous drive to mobility.
Does that mean tablets will dominate the market? That is not so easily discerned. Plenty of users prefer the bigger screens of laptops or desktops. Tablet computers still do not have the enormous computing power of a higher-end laptop, though the cost is relatively the same. And, tablet computer users must purchase extras, such as keyboards and stands, in order to substitute completely for a laptop.
Given the rapidly-evolving track record of computer technology and the mad drive to mobile, it is highly likely that future iterations of the tablet computer will replace laptops and desktops. But that time has not come--yet.

What made the tablet computer become popular?

What to Look for in a Tablet Computer
Tablet computers are the best portable devices available today. The devices allow users to catch up with their favorite movies, news channels and read their manuals easily, as they play games, send web mail and listen to their choice of music amongst other things.
The latest top of the line tablets support most PC based applications. Their interfaces are almost similar to that of those of Touch tablet computers. Meaning that the latest state of the art hand-held computers are easy to use portable devices but, for people who have had the rare chance of using previous versions of touch screen tablet devices. (But even if someone has not had the opportunity of using the portable computers the devices touch screens formats are remarkably perceptive).
While the firms that manufacture the tablet or slates as they are aptly called had no intention of making hand-held portable devices as replacements for notebooks, the latest top of the range slates have some fascinating and interesting applications (for spreadsheets, presentations and word processing). In not so many words the tablet are an improved version of previous versions of most tablet PC's that have a much bigger viewing display. The big viewing display features on the easy to move around with computers allow people to use the convenient computer tablet just as they would their computer. The modern tablets have a keyboard that appears on-screen in case an individual needs to type in text. Most slates are sold for a remarkably lower price of less than $ 849. The best tablets which are regarded as top of the range are manufactured by the some of the most respected brands in the tablet computer industry. Their tablets are smaller and easier to move around with than the usual laptop computers.
A word of caution, not all of the state of the art tablets computers are designed to be used as cell phones. The portable computers do not make provisions for making phone calls. The hand-held computer devices are the perfect friend for anyone who is fond of travelling and spending a lot of time on the road.
Gamers ought to find the latest portable computers addictive. Since, most tablets have enormous spacing capabilities that gamers can exploit to save their games. The best tablet device currently ought to have at least 1GB Random Access Memory and a built-in hard drive of 320GB combined with a processor of 800 Mega Hertz. Take One and Call Me in the Morning: Tablet Computers - Which Is Which?
Once upon a time, when our parent century was barely forty, highly powered future computers were imagined to be technological titans. To be effective, each computational colossus would need to be the size of a skyscraper, or so scientists speculated.
Today, at the dawn of a brave new century, those would-be prophets have capitulated their claims. Computers, like everything else, are getting more powerful as they get smaller...
This is good news for scientific progress (the vast, uninhabited computer-cities of many a sci-fi writer's imagination never came to pass) as well as for consumers, as the current range of PC tablet and Web OS tablet models demonstrates. The rapidly increasing market for PC tablet technology is building to something truly special, as guiding light luminaries in both the Web OS tablet and Window 8 tablet worlds can attest. In this section, we will look at the merits of models like the Toshiba tablet and the Android tablet computer and try to give you an overview of the market itself.
It seems that every major computer company wants a piece of the Pc tablet pie, which, far from overcrowding the marketplace, has led PC tablet technology to grow at a rate unprecedented. From HTC comes the Android tablet computer, which is rising in popularity due to the ubiquity of Android smartphones. Apple's iPad, the standard-bearer of all Web OS tablet designs is an enormous success due to the dominance of Apple branding and tech (not to mention the market superpower of the iPod). A Web OS tablet is perfect for the MAC user who needs a portable (and more affordable) Apple computer.
The next-generation of Window 8 tablet computers is Microsoft striking back, the veteran powerhouse's armoured battle fleet, chocked full of new features, easier than ever software and designed by the best Mr. Gates can buy (which, let's face it, is the best in the world), these Window 8 tablet PC's will be launched in direct competition to the Web OS tablet in what should be the biggest showdown since Godzilla last took on King Ghidorah.
The Toshiba tablet, following a slightly subdued start, is now emerging as one of the most reliable of the Window 8 tablet line-up, and therefore one of the best Pc tablet models around. Equipped with more features, a faster processor and a lush new design job, the new range of Toshiba tablet PCs is going to be the best yet. Bet against these Toshiba tablet beauties at your peril!
Of course, there are more tablets, but the aforementioned are at the forefront of this technological arms race. Each PC tablet has something to recommend it, whether it's a Window 8 tablet or a Web OS tablet. New faces like the Android tablet computer represent fresh blood and a clean slate, two things that the computer industry has needed for quite some time now. While Apple and Microsoft dug their respective trenches and settled in for the long battle, the folks behind the Android tablet computer were free to incorporate the best of both worlds. As a result, an Android tablet computer is a great model if you like elements of both Window 8 tablet and Web OS tablet models.
The best choice if you're in the market for a PC tablet is almost certainly the Toshiba tablet. We're getting more and more interest in the Toshiba tablet and you can bet your bottom dollar that when it comes as a Window 8 tablet it'll become even more of a runaway success story. Conversely, an Android tablet computer, the young pretender, is a great place to look for ease of use as well as innovative design, but those more interested in functionality and familiarity would do best with a Window 8 tablet like the Toshiba tablet. Nevertheless, as the freshest blood on the battlefield, it is from the Android tablet computer that we can expect to see the most creativity and progress, as it is the Android who must work hardest to keep up.

Extreme Sports Goes Fishing
Though there is not a definable extreme fishing event, extreme sports enthusiasts who are fishermen have taken the sport to extremes on their own. The extreme fishermen have come up with ways to make the sport faster and more exciting for the spectator. They have found ways to speed up the action with faster boats and high tech equipment that not only catches fish, but does so with the flair the other extreme sports have. The extreme fisherman is one who is an adrenaline junkie, but also likes to the quiet of fishing. Sounds oxymoronic, but these people actually exist.
The first thing that the extreme fisherman craves is speed. If you ever watched a professional bass tournament, the contestants have super charged bass boats that scream across the water to get to their chosen fishing spot. Some of these bass boats can reach speeds up to forty five an fifty miles an hour. The boats have been trimmed down to skim across the water and at the same time are made comfortable for the people in the boat and their equipment. Priced as much as an economy car, these boats have added fishing into the world of extreme sports.
Another innovation that has taken fishing up a notch toward being included as an extreme sport is the equipment. Some extreme fishermen have modified shot guns to deliver the line, bait, or lure to out of the way places that a boat and a skilled cast could not reach before. Using rubber grommets inserted in an empty shotgun shell, the fishermen can launch his cast three to four times further than they could do by hand. This can be more accurate also. The grommets release the line on impact of the water and the lure or bait will drop to the surface. The line for this operation needs to be a little sturdier and has to be fed from a spool versus a reel. When the line is cast, the line is then attached to the reel and the angler can wait for a strike. This will allow the fishermen to fight the fish longer and give then more of a challenge landing the big one.
The ultimate in the world of fishing extreme sports is bow fishing. Bow fishing is popular in southern Florida and the swamp lands of the south. More hunting than fishing, the arrow is attached to fishing line that is spooled upon the bow. When fishing for gar fish or other large fish that swim along the top of the water, the angler stands up in the boat and waits for the fish to pass. Once he or she has a clear shot, they loose the arrow toward the fish. If the arrows strikes the fish it will sometimes stick into the fish or pass through the body. When the string is taunt, the arrow will not slide through the wound and the archer angler will bring his fish in. The string is a little tougher than normal fishing line. Bow fishing is the king of extreme sports when it comes to fishing.

Extreme Sports Culture and Surfing Cultures Blend
Surfing has been around for centuries but lately the sport has been grouped with a collection of sports called extreme sports. James Cook, the explorer who found the Hawaiian Islands, noted in his journal in 1779 that he saw men swimming in the surf and using boards to make it to the beach. What he witnesses was the sport of surfing. Known as the sport of kings it did not become listed with extreme sports until the late nineties. As it was in the 1960's surfers have their own distinct fashion and culture. The extreme sports crowd has adopted this pseudo life style as their own and has included surfing into the ranks of snowboarding, bungee jumping, and base diving.
Surfing has been revolutionized in the last forty years. The old long boards are still used, but the younger, hipper surfer has a shorter board in which they can make sharper cuts and do more tricks while surfing. Surfing would not be include in extreme sports if the old long board riders were still around their tricks of walking up and down the board and hanging ten would not be of the caliber of most extreme sports enthusiast's liking. The long boards are good for long, controlled rides but the shorter boards are for speed and maneuverings
The surfing culture and the extreme cultures are beginning to blend as one. Long hair is coming back and it seems that fashion is also a thing that is in common. Extreme sports gear and clothing is beginning to look like the surf clothing of the eighties. There are even sports clothing stores that carry both extreme sports clothing and surf clothing. To the naked eye a person would think that the clothes were the same, but it is the label or brand name that discerns the two fashion choices.
With the advent of extreme sports surfing and other board sports such as snowboarding, and wake boarding are become popular for a whole new generation. Surf contests have increased by 12% in the past five years. Advertisement revenue has increased almost 37%. There is money in extreme sports and surfing is adding to the pot. National networks are airing surfing contests and specialty networks like the Extreme sports channel showcase surfing and skateboarding at there two most popular attractions. It seems by putting the word 'extreme' onto a sports name, it instantly increases the fan base.
You did not surf unless you lived on a beach until recently. Surf shops and apparel are now seen in inland malls and shopping centers. Name brands such as Hurley and Sunsplashed can be bought in states as land locked as Colorado or Kansas. Water parks are adding surfing pools that will create up to six foot waves. Inland surfers have even begun to surf on the rapids of rivers. Surfing is popular rather you considerate an extreme sport or not. The surfing culture has drifted into the extreme sports culture or vise versa. The new extreme sports culture has adopted surfing and now it is a sport that is apart of a bigger entity.

Extreme Sports Competitions
Extreme sports are sports that have a element of height, speed, and danger. The word extreme makes it sound more dangerous no matter how mellow the sport is. As in all sports competitions are made up combining extreme sports to test the abilities and the skills of the athlete. These competitions will push even the most in shape person over the age because the extreme sports athlete is one that most use balance, strength, agility, and their common sense to get past some of the obstacles the organizers will put in their way. They have to overcome the fear of death and injury to be successful and to win these competitions.
One of these competitions is the X games. Like their Olympic counterpart there is a summer and a winter competition. Motocross, skateboarding, and trick bike riding is judged to award the winners bronze, silver and gold stars. The summer X games will be held in Los Angeles until 2009 and the winter games will be held in Aspen, Colorado until 2010. Sometimes the X games hold an X fest. These festival features bands that are associated with extreme sports. The contestants come to sign autographs for their fans and sports venders are there to hawk their product.
The world has embraced extreme sports as Australia is hosting their own version of X games called Planet X. Planet X is organized in primarily in the same way as the X games, but there are some differences. Trick sky diving and other aerial events are hosted along the traditional extreme sports of surfing, snowboarding, and speed boat racing. The Aussies like to one up their American counterparts by adding more speed, height, and danger into the sports. Planet X also allows more international competition that cannot compete in the X games.
Survivor shows like the Great Race and Primal Quest have displayed extreme sports as part of the competition. Not only does the contestant have survived in a harsh environment with little food. They have to compete in extreme competition that is wrought with danger and excitement. The lack of proper nutrition and strength gives these survivals show competitions a more dangerous look that draws a lot of the younger audiences. With both extreme sports and reality show mixed, the producers are sure to bring in a broader viewing from all different demographics.
The promotion of extreme sports as competitions has broadened the audience in both television audiences and in person. The fan base is so big that sporting good companies and clothing lines have devoted entire lines of products to promote extreme sports. The companies use the word extreme to say that their product breaks away from traditional sports and has cutting edge taste or performance. The extreme sports industry has become that, an industry. They are taking the sporting share of programming by storm and adding a little danger and excitement to otherwise mundane sports. The sports are exciting to watch and it makes one wonder, are you watching for the excitement or are you waiting for someone to crash.

Extreme Sports Catching the Wind with a Wind Surfer
Wind surfing has been around for a few decades and has been a popular sport along the beaches of the United States and the world. Recently the sport has entered the ranks of extreme sports because some riders has taken the sport to the next level and have moved from the quiet bays and lakes into the surf. Living up to its name this extreme sport has been taken up a notch by actually tackling heavy surf head on. The sail added to the surf board allows the board to actually leave the water and jump the wave. The wind surfer can jump to an incredible height this and the added speed makes wind surfing one of the most exciting extreme sports.
The board used on a wind surfer is usually about six to fifteen feet long. The sail and mast is located in the middle of the board hooked to a universal joint that allows the sail to move in 360 degrees. Unlike a traditional sail boat, steering is mastered by tilting the board in one direction or the other. The cut of the board into the water causes the board to veer in opposite direction. Extreme sports enthusiasts have added modified boards by trimming the edges and shortening the width. They also modify the sails by making them more streamlined and easier to control.
The sports combine both surfing and sailing. When there is a lot of wind, a windsurfer can go faster than most sailing craft. A wind surfer has even broken the record for speed on the water compared to sailboats or other sail driven boats. Wind surfing has many competitions that combines the extreme aspect of speed along with the tricks associated with skateboarding and snow boarding. These competitions include slalom, wave sailing, super X, and speed sailing. The competitions are judged by style, speed, and tricks. The moves and tricks that are attained by a wind surfer cannot be duplicated on any other sailing craft because of the size of the board and the lightness of the entire wind surfer.
Extreme sports demand speed to be classified as one and the wind surfer can be operational in winds up to fifty knots. This is fine if there is no maneuvering involved because the high wind would cut down the ability to turn easily. You still can maintain a great speed and be able to maneuver in winds around twenty knots. Even with a light breeze you can get up enough speed to enjoy a leisurely ride across the bay or ocean.
You can learn how to wind surf by taking lessons. This is the best way to start off, but you can teach yourself. Just make sure the wind speed is low and that you stay close to shore the first few tries. There has be cases of riders being taken out to sea because they did not know how to turn and they were afraid to jump off. It takes a lot of practice to master wave jumping and other extreme sports that are associated with wind surfing. Remember to start out small and build up to the jumps and tricks that the professionals do.

The best of the extreme sports are in Sydney and Melbourne. Each of these cities host jet boats in which you can ride on. Six hundred horse power engines roar as you sit comfortably in a individual bucket seat and are spun in 360s and powerful water slides. The boat sits twelve and you are the captain as you tell the driver which maneuvers to try. For $36.00 a person you will jet across the bay of each of these great cities at break neck speeds. The thrill is only part of the journey as you cruise by some of the greatest urban beaches in the world.
Australia, once know for its outback and the shrimp on the barbie, is now know for its extreme sports. Paul Hogan seems tame after you tried a few of these adventures. Most of the major cities have at least one of the extreme sports for you to try and you can even get an extreme sports package where you can see the entire country and do one extreme sports a day.
One of the extreme sports that you can try is kite surfing. Not only do you get to enjoy the water but you will get a little experience flying also. Kite surfing uses a modified surf board pulled behind a powerful boat. Like in parasailing, you are harnessed to a kite that will lift you up when you pick up enough speed. You get the best of both worlds as you glide across the water and fly through the air. You can get a kite surfing lesson for $99.00 and for a few dollars more, you will get to be pulled by a jet boat as you head for the sky. You can participate in this extreme sport in Victoria or Queensland beaches.
Another type of extreme sports is white water rafting. Even if you have white water rafted in the United State, there is nothing as thrilling as going to the Baryon River just outside of Chokeberry in Victoria. Experienced guides will take you down the river where you will be challenged by class three rapids. Each eight person raft is made of durable rubber and will safely take you river between monstrous boulders and steep cliffs. All for $80.00 a person this trip will be the highlight of your Australian vacation. Make sure you bring an extra set of clothes because everyone aboard will end up wet.

Extreme Sports Are Not Only For the Adrenaline Junkie
Extreme sports are not only for the adrenaline junkie, they are also for the everyday job who likes a little adventure in their life. Though extreme sports usually means that the sport is being taken to higher levels in the form of faster speeds and higher platforms, most of the extreme sports are only extreme because the marketers of sporting good products and sports shows want you to think there is a little something extra that makes the sport better. Though there are adrenaline junkies out there that take the sport to the limit, you as a novice can also share in the same extreme sports without going to far.
One of the extreme sports that the participant can try is white water rafting. Though considered an extreme sport, white water rafting is a family, fun filled event that anyone can try. Most good white water rafting spots have already been claimed by companies who charge to take you down the river. This is okay because if you didn't have a guide or a company plot the dangerous obstacles in the river, being sent down the river would take on a whole new meaning. The raft guides have taken solo trips down these runs several times before they take on clients. If you ever tried to steer one of the rafts you would definitely decide to let them do the hard work and you can just sit back and enjoy the ride. You don't have to be in good shape to white water raft but it is a good idea that you know how to swim. You will be wearing life vest and it is almost certain you will get wet.
Another one of the extreme sports you can try as a novice is tandem skydiving. Here you do not have to take a lot of class time before you are out of the plane's door and falling at one hundred twenty miles an hour toward earth. Tandem ski diving allows you to be strapped onto the back of a professional sky diver as they make the plunge. After a short lesson you will be strapped to the back of the skydiver and head for the plane. After being airborne, the door will open and together you will jump from the plane.
You can sit back and enjoy the free fall as the skydiver you are attached to does all the work. He will adjust your body in the wind currents so that you are positioned to pull the cord and let the chute deploy. Watch the scenery unfold itself beneath you as you float slowly to earth. Even the landing is enjoyable because the sky diver will take the impact and most of the times break your fall.
So don't let anyone tell you that you have to be a buff macho man to enjoy extreme sports. Anyone can participate in any extreme sports if they modify the experience by holding back on the extreme and concentrating more on the sport.

A Closer Look At Bankruptcy
The federal courts have a process known as bankruptcy which is designed to help individuals and businesses clear their debts and manage repayments under the protection of a bankruptcy court. The two kinds of bankruptcy are: reorganization and liquidation.
Liquidation is a bankruptcy process where you make a plea to the court to discharge your debts on your behalf. Some of your properties are liquidated (sold) by the court, and the proceeds are shared among your creditors. Liquidation only lasts four-to-six months, and normally you only need to attend court once.
Liquidation is not an option for everyone. If you have used bankruptcy in the past six-to-eight years, you are not eligible. Also if after consideration of your debts, income, and expenditures it is determined that another form of bankruptcy would be more applicable to your situation, you will not qualify. Disabled veterans, however, who have amassed debts while in the military will normally be permitted to file. Similarly if your debts are a result of your business, you can file for liquidation as well. Outside of these categories, you must meet certain criteria.
One such consideration is that your income for the past six months prior to the date of filing will be compared with the median income of other similarly sized families in your area. If after calculations your income seems to be sufficient to support other bankruptcy proceedings - regardless of permitted expenses - liquidation will not be allowed. Social Security payments are not included in this total.
Liquidation is the form of bankruptcy that most people prefer. This is because the court will normally allow you to keep some amount of your possessions so that you are not destitute after the proceedings. That sort of legal flexibility allows a person to begin their “financial life” over without depriving them of everything. Plus it provides back to creditors at least some amount previously owed.
The other form of bankruptcy, reorganization, is a method in which you communicate to the court how much you intend to pay your creditors to clear your debts. Normally this is part of a 3-5 year plan. If maintained successfully, you can be freed of your debts if there is anything left outstanding. Sometimes a court will look at a person’s finances and even free a person before the plan has been completed.
If you do intend to file for bankruptcy, you will also be required to undergo credit counseling through a recognized and approved agency. During this process, you will be encouraged to look closely at your finances and make an informed decision whether you really do need to go down the road of bankruptcy at all. By doing this, you can better determine if you have missed any viable options for arranging agreements with your creditors and potentially avoiding the more drastic step of bankruptcy altogether.
Whatever the outcome, you will still need to complete post-bankruptcy counseling. The purpose is to ensure you do not allow your finances to become unmanageable in the future.

Extreme Snowboarding Adds Excitement for the Extreme Sports Enthusiast
What makes extreme snowboarding extreme? It is not the ski slope variety snowboarding that makes this sport dangerous, but the terrain in which the snowboarding is done. Extreme sports enthusiasts have coined this style of snowboarding as one of the most dangerous. The snowboarder has to deal with rocks, cliffs, deep snow, and trees. The rider does not get to pick from a blue or black diamond slope. They are usually dropped on top of a mountain and they have to get down not only safely but they are judged on the way down according to style and tricks.
This sport is highly dangerous and should not be attempted by the novice. Only professional snowboarders who have had a lot of experience should try extreme snow boarding. The chance for avalanche or collision with an obstacle is more likely if you do not have experience. If you get out of control for any reason, severe injury or death can occur. Sometimes very good snowboarders have mastered the same old slopes and they want to try something more challenging. As one of the world's most dangerous extreme sports, extreme snowboarding should be attempted in small chunks. To go from slopes to a major mountain course would be fool hearty.
Extreme snow boarding is performed on almost near vertical slopes that can be straight down. After hiking or being dropped off on top of a mountain with a helicopter, the snowboarder will have to transverse themselves down the mountain by finding chutes between rocks and trees and trying to stay away from deep snow which could avalanche. The high altitude offers challenges in weather in the form of sudden snow storms and strong winds. Most extreme snowboarders will take along a global positioning system or a avalanche beacon if they become hurt or stranded. There is no ski patrol on this kind of mountain and the boarder will probably have to be rescued by helicopter or a professional rescue team.
This level of danger may be an adrenaline rush for most extreme sports enthusiasts, but jut because you have a lack of fear it is not a reason to jump right into it. The boarder has to be in near perfect physical shape and their mental alertness must be sharp. The terrain should be studied so that unforeseen obstacles can be looked out for. Sometimes extreme snowboarders will hike up the mountain in the summer to look for possible avenues down the incline. Once the terrain is mapped out the snowboarder needs to find out the possible avalanche areas and be prepared to chart out a course that avoids them.
The most extreme slopes in the world can be found in the Rockies of the United States, the Olympia Mountains in Washington State, Alaska, the Alps in France and Switzerland, and in the Andes in Peru. There are many competitions that are held annually for extreme snowboarding and the criterion to compete is quite stringent. The boarders are judged on tricks, speed, agility, and the most important point, to not fall down. Falling down means you are out of control and that is where the danger starts. If you are an extreme sports fan, this may be the perfect sport for you. Make sure you know what you are doing, your life depends on it.

Extreme Fighting is Extreme Sports Most Savage Competition
Extreme fighting or mixed martial arts is the answer to the extreme sports of boxing, wrestling, martial arts, and down and out street fighting. Fought in a regular ring or in a hurricane fence cage, extreme fighting has become one of the most watched spectator sports on television. The combat sport uses a wide variety fighting forms and disciple where each individual fighter has their own unique style according body size and preference. Made popular by the Ultimate Fighting Championship, mixed martial arts tournaments are becoming the rage in the United States and abroad.
The fighting is savage with very little in the way of rule. Based on the idea that fights would be better if different fighting style were used and a no holds barred mentality ran the games. There are rules that help guard with the safety of the fighters, but compared to conventional wrestling and boxing it is truly one of the true extreme sports. Extreme fighting has become so popular that it has broken many pay per view event records. The fights are action packed with charismatic fighters that do not give the viewers hype like professional wrestlers or the old roller derbies. It is a real time blood and guts fight where the victor is the last one standing or the opponent has given up.
The extreme fighter will use many techniques including hitting with their fists, knees, feet, elbows, and head butting. The traditional wrestling holds are used such as submission holds, sweeps, takedowns, and judo type throws. The only holds that are not allowed is the gouging of the eye, fish hooking, small joint manipulation, and biting. Otherwise all else goes to make this an extreme sports spectacular. The action is so fast and violent; sometimes the matches are over in less than a minute.
The winner of the even is usually chosen by judges when they judge that the fighter cannot continue do to injuries or other serious side affects. The fight doctor or referee will decide who wins if they see a fighter that is all used up and serious injury may result if the fight is not stopped. The fight can be ended if the fighters coach throws in the towel to get the fight stopped. The coach knows the fighter better than the referee and can see if the fighter is indeed injured or suffering. The ultimate choice for a winner is from a knockout. When the winning fighter knocks out the other, he is declared a winner. This practice still follows the same rules as boxing with the standard ten counts.
The extreme sports mania that is sweeping the nation can find its black sheep right here. Children have been imitating extreme fighting and the number of children severely injured has risen. Movies such as 'Fight Club' have heightened the awareness of this extreme sport and activist groups are trying to rally support to ban them. There has been several deaths attributed to extreme fighting and should be left to the professionals.

A Guide To Chapter 7 Bankruptcy
Bankruptcy is a legally declared inability of individuals or businesses to discharge their debts. A declared state of bankruptcy can be requested not only by creditors in an effort to get what they are owed but also by the insolvent individual or organization. If it is difficult to repay debts, declaring the bankruptcy may be the right solution to debt problems.
Out of six basic types of under the Bankruptcy Code, Chapter 7 is a “liquidation” of nonexempt assets to pay debts. In a court-supervised procedure, a court appoints a trustee who liquidates the non-exempt assets of the debtor’s estate and makes distributions to creditors. The Bankruptcy Code allows the debtor to keep certain exempt property; but a trustee will liquidate the debtor's remaining assets.
According to the amendments to the Bankruptcy Code enacted in to the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005, if a debtor’s income is in excess of certain thresholds, the debtor may not be eligible for chapter 7 relief. Filing a petition under chapter 7, automatically stays most collection actions against the debtor or the debtor's property, but potential debtors should realize that the filing of a petition under chapter 7 might result in the loss of property.
After Chapter 7 bankruptcy, one will not longer owe money on credit cards, unsecured loans, unpaid hospital, medical and utility bills and unpaid rent. But debts like state and federal taxes (unless they are more than three years old), child support required by law; alimony, government-backed student loans, debts due to fraud, fines, penalties and debts due to willful injury to another person or property are not eliminated by Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
Just a few months after the petition is filed, in most chapter 7 cases, the individual debtor receives a discharge that releases debtor from personal liability for certain dischargeable debts. Thus, chapter 7 Bankruptcy is designed to give the debtor a new start and a chance to live with sound financial management.

Can Golf Be Considered in Extreme Sports
Golf, a game that screams gentility, has gone one step further and entered the ranks of extreme sports. The game that is pastoral in nature now has come around to attract new players by spicing up the game a little bit. Known as extreme golf, this sport is a blend of running and golfing. You have to be in pretty good shape to run eighteen holes and the athletes who take part in extreme golf are. Still rare in private clubs, extreme golf is gaining in popularity around the country at public courses. It give the course extra revenue and generates a little excitement on the other wise quiet links.
Extreme golf is one of those extreme sports that gather their name from adding to the traditional sport. Golf has been played for centuries and is known as a game up patience and skill. Extreme golf still has the skill in it, but it also adds an element of speed. Not only do you run the course, you actually play golf as you do so. The game is usually played during twilight golf when the course is relatively empty and there are not many players on the green. You can usually get a cheaper rate at this time of day because most people cannot complete eighteen holes before it gets dark.
Unlike regular golf, the extreme sports enthusiast plays with three clubs instead of a hole set. He or she will choose a driver, a putter, and a wedge. These clubs are carried in hand not in a bag. Some extreme golfers have made quills to hold their clubs on their backs while they run. The golfer is only allowed to have five balls and once those balls are lost the golfer is out of the running. Played for fun most of the time, there are extreme golf tournaments that have a few good sized cash prizes.
The extreme golfers tee off at the same time from the same tee. Here is where it gets extreme. As soon as you tee off you start running to your ball. There are other golfers behind that are hitting even though you are down range. Some extreme golfers wear a bike helmet or a skateboarding helmet because of this. If you play extreme golf often enough, you will get hit by the ball. As soon as you get to your ball, you take your iron and get it to the green as soon as you can. The idea is not low swings, but speed. It is a race and speed is the definable adverb in extreme sports.
Once you get on the putting green, you put until you get it in the cup. The ball has to be stopped before you can hit it again. At the same time you are watching out for balls of your opponent. After the ball is in the cup, you run and tee off at the next hole. The game is fun to play and to watch. If you are an extreme sports fan and a golfer this is the sport for you. Extreme golf needs the permission of the range marshal before you set up to play. If you live in the northern regions of the United States, you can play extreme golf on the course after it has closed down for the season.

Are New Bankruptcy Laws Going To Help You
There are 2 sides to the changes in bankruptcy rules. It will be a lot harder to file bankruptcy under chapter 7 and get a totally clean slate.
For businesses, relying on issuing credit, the new personal bankruptcy law is doing great, reducing personal bankruptcy claims from the thousands to double digits.(In the short run).
However, lawyers working with the actual people filing for bankruptcy say that the new law is seriously flawed because it puts more financial burdens on already broke clients and reduces potential debt repayment to small businesses.
And then of course you have the credit card companies charging high interest rates which in quite a few cases caused the bankruptcy in the first place.
According to some financial specialists, much of the debt people accumulate is a result of keeping up with the Joneses and not thinking ahead.
For 80% of clients counseled each month, the debt is credit card related and averages $32,000 - a result of six to eight cards. Consumer credit organizations say the new law provides debt-reducing strategies for those considering filing bankruptcy and curbs abuse.
Under the new law it has become a requirement that the person filing bankruptcy obtains credit counseling both before and after filing for which that person will be charged..
So now the consumer would then know the advantages and disadvantages of declaring bankruptcy. Yet it seems merely another expense for an already financially stressed individual.
People filing bankruptcy in general are not overspenders, but merely faced with temporary financial disasters such as medical costs, layoffs, a divorce, gambling debts or other crises. Before you can file bankruptcy, you are now required to complete credit counseling with an agency approved by the U.S. Trustees office.
This credit counseling is designed to help you determine whether or not bankruptcy is appropriate.
Once you complete your bankruptcy, the law requires you to attend another credit counseling session.
These are new requirements, before this law was passed the law did not require a person to go through counseling either before or after the filing of bankruptcy.
Second, under the old law, a person could decide to file under Chapter 7 or Chapter 13. Under the new law, the court will look at your monthly income and apply a means test relating to the state in which you live. If your income is less than or equal to the medium income then you will be allowed to file Chapter 7 which in effect will give you a clean slate.
This medium income can vary from $28,000 in Missouri to $56,000 in Alaska. If your income is greater, you may be forced to file Chapter 13 unless you can demonstrate you do not have enough disposable income.
Under Chapter 13 you will not get a clean slate but will have to make payments on your debts.
Also, your attorney now has to personally certify that your bankruptcy filing is accurate. This means more work for the attorney, with higher legal fees.
Advantages of declaring Bankruptcy:
Legal protection from creditors
Takes care of all or most debt
In some cases, can keep home and car
May stop complete financial ruin
Provides a fresh start
Disadvantages of declaring Bankruptcy:
Bad credit
May have to repay partial debt load and return collateral to creditors
May lose assets, including house and car (If the house is worth more than a certain amount).
Bankruptcy becomes public record, and
Remains on credit record for seven to 10 years
“In the past, a bankruptcy offered a fresh start for the filer,” said Columbia attorney Gwen Froeschner Hart. “The new federal legislation offers language directed at helping creditors.”
If you analyze credit card expenses for most people you'll see that they often include medical bills and day-to-day expenses for the elderly or those earning low or fixed incomes. Records show that 50% of credit card holders do not pay their full credit card bills every month.
33% of the population can't afford medical insurance so have to charge their prescription drugs.
With the recent Medicaid cuts and rigid bankruptcy legislation who knows what is going to happen to these people.
There are some who say consumers are abusing creditors. The irony is that credit card companies are begging for customers and offering large amounts of unsecured credit, yet at the same time, lobbying for stricter debt controls.

Avoiding Bankruptcy Using Debt Management
If you are in credit card debt, you should consider debt management to help avoid things like bankruptcy and help you clear your debts. Good credit card debt management should give you a realistic method to deal with your spiraling debts. You have probably already noticed that your creditor’s high interest and late fees are making it impossible for you to manage your debts. You are in a serious mess, right?
The best way to resolve this is to switch to weekly payments. Paying your credit card debt weekly fits into most people’s pay cycles and doesn’t burden you with any surprises at the end of the month. They can also lower your total interest because some cards apply it on an hourly basis.
You should also confer with the Consumer Counseling Center of America, a non-profit group that assists anyone in serious financial predicaments like yourself. Credit counselors are available to assess your debts, create a resolution plan, and contact all your creditors to renegotiate your interest and monthly repayments. The CCCA can bring your account balances up to date, stop creditor calls, maintain current payments, and settle accounts in major arrears.
To take advantage of the many benefits the CCCA can offer you, you have to use self-discipline in relation to your finances. Start by stopping impulse buying. Counseling can only help if you cut or completely stop your credit card spending. You should either destroy your cards or have just one on hand in case of any emergencies. However, your remaining card must have a lower limit and interest.
Another method is to transfer all your existing credit card balances onto one low interest card. You will have to monitor all your balance transfers at the 0% interest level. This option can be very helpful in lowering interest payments. However, be cautious. Many people have been conned into believing that the companies could do what they claimed – eliminate credit card debt with just a nominally tiny charge. So many people have fallen victim to these witch doctors of credit repair. You must check into the background of any credit counselor you are considering.
The best person who can lower your debts is you. Using a workable budget, sticking to it, eliminating unnecessary spending, and sticking to essential purchases only will help you control and eventually get rid of all your debts. Are you ready for a debt-free, worry-free life?

BASE Jumping: An Extreme Sports Adventure
If you think that sky diving is one of the scariest in extreme sports, you should try base jumping. BASE jumping essentially came from skydiving. Instead of jumping out of an airplane, the BASE jumper jumps off of fixed objects such as buildings, cliffs, or towers. The other difference is that the base jumper has to jump not only out but down. When you jump from a plane you leave the plane in a downward motion until you hit the ground. The BASE jumper has to jump out several feet because they are falling very close to the building or tower they have just jumped from.
The BASE jumper will fall at a slower rate of speed than the skydiver because there is not enough altitude for the falling diver to get up to speed. The extreme sports enthusiast who base jumps will pick a high enough platform to get the thrill of free falling and still have enough time for the parachute to open and slow his descent. If the BASE jumper exceeds the twelve seconds it takes to achieve terminal velocity in the fall it will match the speed of the sky diver. In base jumping this rarely happens.
The skydiver uses the air currents and the flow around their body to stabilize their body during descent. On the other hand the BASE jumper made twist in the air because the descent is not long enough for them to stabilize. The twisting and tumbling in the air is one of the things that make these one of the most dangerous of extreme sports. The parachute is usually opened just after jumping or shortly thereafter. If the jumper is tumbling because of a bad take off, the parachute may open poorly which could cause the jumper to be entangled in the cords or the chute itself.
The shortness of the jump does not allow the jumper to use the traditional parachute. He or she must use a smaller parachute with a larger pilot or starting chute that will pull the large parachute out of the harness. The harness is specified for the jumper so that it is lighter weight. The BASE jumper does not have a reserve parachute, because there is not enough time to deploy it. The reserve parachute would be cumbersome and add more tumbles on the way down. This would add another element of danger to the jump.
There is more danger for the extreme sports enthusiast who tries this sport. Not only is the fall dangerous, but so is the landing. The BASE jumper has little area in which to land. Because the base is a standing structure, a high wind or wind shift can cause the jumper to slam into the structure they are jumping from. If they are jumping from a cliff, the bottom might be strewn with boulder, trees, or rocks. If the BASE jumpers are jumping from a bridge or trestle, the only place to land is on the small beach beside a river or in the river itself.

Problem Solving Can Be Easy
We all face problems from time to time. Sometimes we get really stuck, unable to find a decent solution. A lot of the time it’s because we really don’t know how to think up those solutions. Here are a few simple techniques to help you solve the problems that you face.
1) Brainstorm: Don’t just sit around waiting for something to pop into your head. This rarely works. Instead, start a brainstorm. Write down anything that occurs to you as remotely helpful to your problem. Then, once one or two basics are on the page, start thinking more specifically about those and note down any ideas that come from them. Draw lines between the original idea and any ideas that came from it, to show how your ideas are connected.
Pretty soon you’ll have a range of ideas down on paper, and once you have some ideas it’s easier to come up with even more – just like the snowball effect. This is a great way to generate possible solutions quickly and get you thinking on topic.
2) Take Notes: Sometimes ideas come to you out of the blue when you’re doing something completely unrelated. You might be typing something up for work, or taking a bite of your sandwich when all of a sudden you have a great idea. Whatever you do, don’t let these ideas go! And don’t, under any circumstance, think that you’ll just remember them later. You won’t remember them – so write them down! Take notes on any ideas that come to you as soon as you can.
3) Take A Walk: Sometimes we end up thinking too much, and this can make it harder for us to think clearly. One great way to get your head straight and think more clearly about your problems is to take a walk. Make sure it’s casual, and try not to think about your problem too much. Enjoy yourself and relax as much as possible. At a later point in the walk, you might want to think a bit more about your problem again – but this time you’ll be doing it with a fresh mind.
If you don’t come up with any possible solutions during the walk at all then don’t think of it as wasted time. Sometimes a break from thinking is what you need to come up with new ideas, and a walk works perfectly for this purpose.
4) Come Back To It Later: If you don’t have a tight time limit, then leave your problem for a while. Make notes on what your thoughts are up to this point, and then put it all to one side for a while – a few days, a week, or a month. After that time has passed, come back to your problem again. Look at what you noted down when you left it and see what you think of those ideas now. With a fresh mind you may now find that you can take your old ideas and go further with them.
5) Nap On It: Einstein was famous for using naps to solve his problems. He found that his best ideas came to him if he thought about a problem long and hard and then took a nap. At the point when he would just fall asleep he usually got his best ideas.
In order to make sure he didn’t end up snoozing and forgetting what he came up with, he held a handful of balls so that when his hand relaxed as he fell to sleep the balls fell from his hand and woke him up. He’d then go and write down his new ideas. Why not give it a go, and see if this works for you?

Life After Bankruptcy
So you've finally been discharged from your bankruptcy, and now you are free to do whatever you want again. The world is your oyster!
But before you grab a bucket and head for the beach, there are a few things you need to know. First of all, a bankruptcy discharge is not a license to shop. That itch to celebrate your newfound freedom might almost impossible to ignore, but if you want to stay debt-free, you are going to have to lay low for awhile, especially in the three months after your discharge.
Here's why: you probably feel like you've been in debt forever, but you're not the only one who knows it. Credit card companies have caught the scent too, and chances are you're getting applications left, right and center these days. Talk about tempting! The best thing you can do is to throw those applications right into the recycle bin, regardless of how much this or that company says they want to help you rebuild your credit. The truth is they don't want to help you rebuild; they want to help you get back in the position that caused you to go bankrupt in the first place.
Those 'high-risk' cards come with a lot of caveats - the fee you pay to get the card, for instance. Some cards will actually charge you for the card by placing it on your card. So if your card has a $100 limit and it cost you $75 to get, guess what? You only have $75 in credit. Go over that, and get ready for some nasty fees.
So how can you get your life back to normal? Before you do anything else, you have to change your spending habits. Really think about the cost and quality of things and put yourself in control. For example, is it really worth it to buy that brand-name bread when the store brand is just as good and costs a dollar less? It's a small-scale example, but if you can apply that kind of thinking in baby steps, pretty soon you'll be able to apply it to everything you buy, no matter how large. So clip coupons, try to buy when things are on sale, and don't go hog wild when you do buy.
Second, prioritize your bills. Your most important, must-pay-on-time bill every month should be your rent or mortgage. It's your shelter, and without it, handling anything else that comes your way becomes a lot more difficult. Your utilities are next, because you have to be able to cook and store your food. Your third most important bill might be the telephone, the fourth your cable TV or satellite, and so on. Take an average of how much of your pay check goes for rent/mortgage and bills. Then, set aside a little bit of each check to put toward each bill. It might be tedious, but trust me; it will be worth it once you get into the flow.
The second thing you have to do is save up $500, doing the same as you've done for your bills - take a bit out of each pay check. Only this time, open a new account. Once you've saved $500, run to your nearest bank and request a secured bank loan for that amount. The bank should have no problem granting your request, as the money's already there. For the next 90 days, make your payments on time, every time. You will be amazed at how much faster this will build your credit than those high-risk cards!
If you have to use credit, why not do so to your advantage? Here's how: purchase an item that's on sale with your credit card. Then, when your credit card bill arrives, pay the item off in full. That's it! You get to enjoy your new item for a month before you have to pay for it. If you can stick to this, your credit will have nowhere to go but up.
By applying the above tips, your credit will be given a boost at a time when you need it the most - in the first 3 or 4 months after a bankruptcy discharge. You've been given a second chance. Don't give up - you can do it!
